We first started in 2003, focusing on the healthcare and education markets. Now, UNA has grown, expanded and built a partnership with Vizient, our supply contracting company, providing members with the most competitive, extensive portfolio available.
Together, UNA and Vizient provide $60 billion in combined annual purchasing power and through a continuous portfolio review, UNA ensures members constant access to the best pricing on the products and services used daily. In addition, our team has a strong focus on analyzing and negotiating competitive contracts and delivering best-in-class customer service. Beyond providing cost savings to our clients, we have an in-house suite of products and tools that we offer all of our customers as well as an in-house procurement expert available to help with increasing efficiencies on direct and indirect categories as well as operational improvement techniques and best practices.

Meet Some of Our Key Team Members
Anthony Clervi – President
Anthony Clervi is President at UNA Purchasing Solutions. Anthony uses his extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business consulting to provide consistent leadership and strategic direction for the success of UNA Purchasing. Anthony is involved in the local Kansas City community. He contributes to the Kauffman Foundation and Special Olympics Kansas. Anthony is an active participant in the KC Enterprise Network and in local church organizations. Anthony earned his degree in business administration with a focus in economics and finance from McKendree University while also playing 4 years of varsity baseball. Anthony was recently married and he and his wife Michelle love spending time with one another, their families and doing fun outdoor activities such as golf, fishing and hiking.
Daniel Schuman – Director of Business Development
Daniel is the Director of Business Development at UNA Purchasing Solutions. He has over a decade of experience in helping business startups identify and reach their goals. Within UNA, Daniel uses this experience to help our members understand the value of group purchasing and how to best utilize this portfolio for their specific needs. Daniel attended the University of Kansas and also received a 2-year certificate from a local bible college. In his spare time Daniel contributes as a content editor for a local ministry based out of Kansas City. He also enjoys spending time with his family, in the mountains or on the golf course.
Crystal Villareal – Operations Manager
Crystal has several years of experience in executive administration and customer service. Her passion is to help companies operate smoothly and effectively. As the Operations Manager at UNA Purchasing, Crystal uses her experience to help build and maintain customer relationships. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with loved ones, being active with her local church group, and discovering new things about Kansas City.
Tyler Luedke – Business Development
Tyler has a background in sales and customer service. He loves using this experience to serve and meet people’s needs. Within UNA, he helps companies save time and money by connecting them with our discounted supplier contracts. Tyler has an Associate of Arts Degree from Rock Valley College and obtained a four year certificate from a Kansas City based bible college. Tyler is married to his wife Katie Jo and they have a son together. In his spare time, he loves to play basketball, spend time with his family, and follow Chicago Cubs baseball.
Russ Hunt – Director of Procurement
Russ’ experience in the food service and procurement industry spans 30 years with a variety of responsibilities. He has served as a food service director, area manager and procurement specialist. At UNA Purchasing, he holds the responsibility of food product procurement for all our members to determine the best products, services and prices by negotiating optimum food and equipment contracts. In his spare time he loves to hunt and fish and play golf. Russ also enjoys spending as much time as he can with his daughters, Sarah and Becca.
Lauren Bergtholdt, D.T.R. – Director of Business Development
Lauren is a Director of Business Development at UNA Purchasing Solutions. She brings over 20 years of extensive food service experience in both commercial and non-commercial food service sales. Her responsibilities have included national and major account management in national and regional restaurant chains, Healthcare, College & University, Business & Industry, K-12, Military and the VA facilities. Lauren attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she met her husband; they have two children and their first grandchild on the way.
